Breville Hemisphere Control Blender Review

The Breville Hemisphere Control blender is a middle-of-the-road blender. It’s not quite as pricey as the Vitamix or Blendtec commercial grade blenders, but it has a 750 watt motor and great reviews. Priced at $199, this blender is a good buy.

Blendtec vs Breville Hemisphere

The Breville Hemisphere Control blender has a digital control panel just like the Blendtec. With 5 pre-programmed settings, or the ability to use a speed setting, there is an LCD counter that counts up when using a speed setting and counts down when using a pre-programmed setting. Unlike the Blendtec blender , the Breville Hemisphere Control feature panel has illuminated buttons for clarity and ease of reading.

The Hemisphere Control blender is half of the power of the Blendtec – around 1.5 horsewpower rather than the 3 horsepower of the Blendtec blender. That means the Breville vs Blendtec is also quieter.

Vitamix vs Breville Hemisphere

The Breville Hemisphere Control blender has a small footprint – it’s 6.5 inches wide and 8 inches long, smaller than the Vitamix 5200. The Breville is also 17 inches tall which is short enough to fit under the standard counter height. Until recently, Vitamix blenders didn’t fit under the upper cabinets in most kitchens.

Vitamix has a removeable blade that comes out of the blender jar, but Vitamix doesn’t let you put the jar in the dishwasher – Breville says their blender jar is dishwasher safe.

According to most reviews on Amazon and other places, there is an overwhelming response in favor of this blender. From comments on the sleek brushed metal base, to the intuitive design, it seems most people that purchase the Breville Hemisphere and love it. How does it compare to the high end blenders? Well, Breville VS Blendtec and Breville vs Vitamix see that the Breville Hemisphere would win as a general-use blender. If you need a heavy duty blender, for blending nut butters, full fruit smoothies, making flour, etc, than the Blendtec or Vitamix heavy duty blender would still be your best bet.

One other thing to mention, the Breville Hemisphere Control hasn’t been around near as long as the Vitamix vs Blendtec blenders, so longevity is a little bit questionable.
